Question: Ok sooo I have a question about Xanax?

I hate even talking about this cause it makes me sound like a drug addict. But I just got prescribed some Xanax today cause I get severe panic attacks where I can't even think straight and start to act crazy. My question is, is it safe to take? I'm afraid that it will make my panic attack even worse. Like make my heart beat even faster since it's a drug. Also is it true that if you don't take it everyday, you can have serious withdrawal symptoms like seizure and even death? Right now I'm taking 0.5 mg. And I'm not even taking the whole pill, I'm gonna cut it in half. Or should I just take the whole pill? They're very small. Please help and give me some advice on this before I take this drug. Thankyou.

Take them how the doctor told you to and be careful, they are very addictive and will make you intoxicated.

It will definitely slow down your heartbeat and make you relaxed.

The withdrawal symptoms are when you DO take it every day, then abruptly stop...

I used to take xanax for the same reason but I haven't in years. I no longer have anxiety or panic attacks. I just work out hard and burn off the extra energy. Gyms are filled with nervous, high strung people. I suggest you give it a shot. You will be amazed how much of a difference it makes.

if you dont want to take pills for your panic attacks then why go to the doctor for them? xanax will not make your heart race. take it as prescribed and youll be fine.
