what's the best home remedies or over the counter medicine for fevers?!

Question: What's the best home remedies or over the counter medicine for fevers?
I'm 24. I have a fever due to my sore throat. This always happens. When I start to get a sore throat, I start to get a bad throbbing headache and the back of my upper neck starts to ache bad and it hurts pretty bad. I end up with this fever because my sister gave it to me. She was sick and now she is better, so now I got it. I cough as well and it hurts. Any great suggestions? Thanks.

Watermelon! I feed my kid lots of watermelon any time she gets a fever and it goes down everytime with no medicine.

olive leaf extract ...... the unflavored variety .... take 30mls 3 times a day and your symptoms will be dramatically reduced within a 24 hour period ....... brilliant for reducing fever and wiping out the germs that produce a sore throat..... a fabulous natural antibiotic and antiviral.

so good in fact that my small child can take it ..... at that dosage and recover within a couple of days from devastating flu symptoms that had him flat on his back with a screaming high temperature.

and of course stay well hydrated to help flush out the germs.

** Your local health food store should be able to provide you with an unflavored variety of olive leaf extract ...... i buy the 500ml variety in Australia for around $40.00 but you can get smaller 200ml bottles for around $25.00AUD ...... most pharmacies in Australia also sell it ... good luck buddy and hope you get better super quick.....
