Question: Is lo loestrin fe only for preventing pregnancy?

I want to change my low dose birth control that does not prevent pregnancy to Lo Loestrin FE. I want it to continue doing what my old birth control does, but also preventing pregnancy. Can someone please answer this for me?

Birth control pills prevent pregnancy - all of them. If your pill isn't working in that way, perhaps you shouldn't be on a low-dose pill. Talk to your doctor.
