Question: Can you drink alcohol during a penicillin cure?
Since 2 or days i've been taking penicillin twice a day to heal the infection in my jaw (from the wisdom tooth that's been pulled and left me with an infection).
Yesterday I went to a few bars and had 3 beers and some jack daniels.. what's the effect caused by alcohol on both my infection and/or the healing process? Is it bad or won't it hurt? I'm afraid to go in a relapse seeing i have a limited amount of pills and my jaw is still slightly swollen.

I wouldnt try it. Alcohol can lower your immune system response meaning it can be longer for you to get better. Just dont drink any beer during your penicillin treatment. I would wait until I got better if I were you.
You can....you just won't get better very quickly. It does lessen the effectivness and weakens your bodies own ability to fight illness or infection. But the buzz is still the same.
