You can in the fact that it wouldn't be harmful, but it may not taste the best. Some people don't like the taste of Holy Basil and some people like it... that part will be a personal preference. Also, most capsules have excipients that could be simple Rice Flour or other plant fibers, Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Stearate, Silica, or some of several other things that really don't taste the best or mix into liquids very well.

Again, it won't hurt to take them out of the pills... just be aware that you may not like the taste and you might see some sediment in the bottom of the glass (which you can rinse with a little water and drink to get all of it if you want). Good luck and I hope I helped!
