Why don't propagandists & the mass media bashing soy never talk about t!

Question: Why don't propagandists & the mass media bashing soy never talk about the high estrogen content in cow milk?
There is this myth going around that soy has the animal hormone estrogen in it. Soy, a legume, comes from plants . Plants don't make animal hormones. Cow milk has estrogen!!! Soy has phytoestrogens that are compounds that are a lot less potent, whether or not they are fermented soy, than natural estrogens. Fermented soy contains a lot less phytoestrogens that nonfermented soy. It's due to the fermentation process that lowers the content.

Human's main exposure to estrogens are mostly cow's milk, which has contains considerable amounts of female sex hormones.

The link between cancer and dietary hormones - estrogen in particular - has been a source of great concern among scientists. The potential for risk is large. Natural estrogens are up to 100,000 times more potent than their environmental counterparts, such as the estrogen-like compounds in pesticides. The potential for risk is large. cows are milked about 300 days a year. For much of that time, the cows are pregnant. The later in pregnancy a cow is, the more hormones appear in her milk. Milk from a cow in the late stage of pregnancy contains up to 33 times as much of a signature estrogen compound (estrone sulfate) than milk from a non-pregnant cow.

Most holistic health experts will usually tell their patients to stay away from pasteurized cow milk: not only does it contain the hormone residues you mention, it's also full of antibiotic residue and pesticide residue (unless organic). The caseinated protein content causes bowel issues for huge numbers of people (the chemical properties are similar to MSG). It also triggers mucous production that in turn can cause constipation and what may seem to be an allergic reaction.
And while there has yet to be an actual, documented, confirmed case of bacterial contamination from RAW milk, authorities act as if they are saving the public from some horror that has never happened. Raw organic milk doesn't have ANY of the problems associated with pasteurized, and is healing to the GI system.
Factory farming practises have become cruel, polluting and nasty. A lot of people would like to see this form of farming bite the dust.
Fermented soy products are excellent healthful products. Unfermented ones can be problematic.
As with everything, moderation is a good word to remember.

That isn't a myth. It's an fact. Soy contains phytoestrogens. Not quite the same molecule, but it works the same. This is pretty basic biochemistry.

Of course there's no good evidence that dietary estrogens are actually harmful in the first place.

look what soya farming doing to the rain forest, that in itself is something to think about before buying soya, but i do agree with you on most of what you say,no easy answer

Good point. Plus don't forget that people who raise cattle for beef almost always give their cattle an estrogen implant, because that will make the cattle grow more quickly.
