Question: How long does it take for drugs to leave body to avoid detection?

My friend said he experimented with some drugs last week so he's not a regular or heavy user and just landed a job that requires a drug test. is it safe to say he's in the clear by now?

Depends what it is... pot takes 2 weeks. And you can get a false positive if you have poppy seeds (in anything - muffins, bagels) - at least the false positive is possible when you donate plasma. When I had my job test and asked about that they said they could tell the difference. And no, being a regular makes no difference.

It will mostly leave your system in a week, bit within a month it will sompletley gone. But, the drugs will leave long lasting effects, like traces of the drug in your hair and fingernails.
