Don't panic, you can't overdose!! Most adults (generally speaking, age 12 up) can handle between 4,000mg - 20,000mg in a day without any problems. The amount varies from person to person, but that's about the average.

It's water-soluble, which means that your body can't store it, so it doesn't hang around for very long.

A lot of naturopaths and nutritionists will recommend people take a minimum of 2,000mg (2 grams) a day to keep themselves healthy, and when they're sick, to take them until you reach 'bowel tolerance' - basically, when you've had as much as your body can handle and you start getting a funny stomach and need to go to the toilet!! For most people that doesn't happen until you've had around 10,000mg or so, but it's the worst that would happen, and stops when you stop taking the vitamin for a day or so (remember, you can't store it, so it passes through your system and you need to top up again before long).

People being treated for cancer and serious illnesses by alternative doctors will often take IV vitamin C with as much as 100,000mg (100 grams) or more in a single day, which is a huuuuuge amount of it, with no problems at all - it helps them get healthy.

So with all that in mind, you should be absolutely fine with what you've had. :-)

Higher levels of Vitamin C are needed when under environmental stress such as trauma, fever or infection. Full saturation is reached with daily intakes of 200-500 mg per day (in 2-3 divided doses). This is a water-soluble protein, and anything in excess is excreted by the body. I think that taking in 2 vitamin c tablets would be okay as long as it is still in the range of 200-500 mg in all.
Vitamin C Overdose can cause diarrhea, gas, or stomach upset. Other side effects could be stomach cramps, nausea, and diarrhea, and an increased risk of developing kidney stones. Large amounts of Vitamin C reduce body levels of copper, an essential nutrient.

Yes, but you would need a very large amount to do it.

In most cases, excess water soluble vitamins is excreted in the urine. What you have taken isn't a cause for concern. By the way, unless you are lacking vitamin C, it won't be of much benefit anyway.

Yes, you can.

However, you'd probably need on the order of a thousand of those tablets. The lethal dose of vitamin C is absurdly high.

Vitamin C taken in high dozes can cause diarrhoea however there are no other side effects. People take high dozes for pain and to help to kill off a cold, I don't think that you have taken a high doze,

When I was a kid the vitamin C tablets were so yummy so I took like 6.
