Amebic colitis is not a diagnosis within auyrveda. That alone should be reason enough for you to choose conventional medicine.

Conventional medicine is far better than ayurveda. It is not only critical towards alternative (to) medicine. It is also very critical towards itself, and it is self correcting. When better evidence emerges, its practices change.

Ayurveda on the other hand has been practiced for (allegedly) 5000 years, and hasn't evolved as knowledge of human physiology etc increased.

I'd like to find an Ayurveda practitioner who can even diagnose amoebic colitis first. This is a potentially serious illness, go see a real doctor for diagnosis and proper treatment.
