I've heard taking apple cider vinegar and bicarbonate of soda are good for !

Question: I've heard taking apple cider vinegar and bicarbonate of soda are good for eczema...?
Can anyone tell me if this is true and how to take it, how to dilute it, and how much I should take please?

Answers:

It is not true. You can find sites on the internet that say it is true, but no study has ever shown that to be the case. Eczema has many causes, so even if it did work for one type, it wouldn't work for all.

apple cider vinegar and bicarbonate of soda
are just going to cancel each other out, they
will do nothing for anything together.

Apple cider viniger alone rubed on the skin
will help the skin.
Batheing with oatmeal soap will help the
skin.

The vinegar (being mostly dilute acetic acid [CH3COOH]) and bicarbonate (NaHCO3) will react with one another to give sodium acetate, carbon dioxide and water.

Total nonsense I'm afraid. Go with your doctor's advice on this one.
