My 4 year old daughter was dry by about 15 months too, so I was worried when she started bed wetting a few months ago so I asked around and was advised to stop giving her a drink before bed. She now has a good drink at tea time and after that only a sip or two is she complains she's thirsty. I also make sure she goes to the toilet before she gets into bed. It seems to be working so far, touch wood, but I'm aware that this can go on for some time - especially with girls.

If your daughter is anything like mine, she'll be really upset because 'only babies wet the bed mum and I'm a big girl'. What ever you do - don't tell her off about it as this will damage her self esteem, but on the flip side - don't make her think it's ok either. I've been letting my daughter help me clean up and talking about how yucky it is, but also reassuring her that everyone has accidents from time to time. We then had a talk about what we thought led to her accident and what 'we' think we should try to do to stop it happening again, this way she still felt grown up.

I hope that helps - best of luck!

For Girls it is not uncommon for them to wet the bed until around the age of 10 because of the lack of maturity in that area. Your daughter may just be going through a stage or something but definitely don't teach her it is okay even if she has an excuse. Get her to learn good habits like drinking more water earlier in the day and using the bathroom right before going to bed.

your over reacting, her body hasn't developed yet to be able to facilitate being able to drink before bed, instead of waking her up she just goes in her sleep, i was a late bed wetter, it only stops if you make sure she is getting properly hydrated about three hours before bed time and no sooner.

she'll grow out of it, now i can drink before sleep to help me wake up early.

my life.

Its completely normal at her age. Dont put her back in diapers but try some pull ups. My 10 year old brother is still put in normal diapers because he cant control his bladder/bowels and its really degrading for the kid, but it is normal for her age, she could stop by tomorrow or by next month. dont worry about it.

Don't put her back in diapers....if you enjoy getting up at 4:30 am to a smelly p**sed off mattress & doing laundry at that hour. Hope you don't live in an apt. Your poor neighbors going to wake up at that ungodly hour all because you have to ask on Y!A for confirmation what to do when your kid desperately needs to wear diapers. Of course she does!

Hi

Its completely normal hun so stop worrying so much accidents do and will happen. She may of had a bad dream. Just tell her its ok and cheer her up don't be angry wiv her. You defiantly don't need to put her back in nappies chances are she won't do it again

She stopped wetting the bed when she was 1 years old?!?! That doesn't make sense seeing as she should be in nappies. She hasn't developed properly and its natural for children to wet the bed up to 11/12 years old. Chill out.

She is only 4! Most kids that age still wet the bed. Just have her wear diapers to bed until she has gained full nighttime control. Wearing diapers for bedwetting is not at all uncommon at this age.

nooooooooooooo dont put her back in nappies that make it worse.make little of it.
