Does anyone have any great home remidies for sore neck muscles?!

Question: Does anyone have any great home remidies for sore neck muscles?
I just wondered whether anyone had any ideas. Ive got a few books about herbal remedies and massage, but unless you have someone to help you these things don't work well. I quite often hav a sore neck do to activities and sleeping wrong. Ive been told by a few people that my neck and shoulder muscles are really tight, and ive tried relaxation techniques but the tension just doesn't seem to budge. Any help would be most appreciated thanks xoxo

Take a warm shower to get the muscles looser and then do slow stretches. You might want to get an ergo-dynamic pillow (one shaped specially to cradle head and neck). Pilates and yoga are exercise programs which incorporate a lot of stretching. Take a class in Pilates or Yoga--it may help you relax all over, too.

For this chronic neck condition, you might try the following.
Apply moist heat for 30 minutes before bedtime
Take Calcium Lactate on empty stomach , approximately 1000 mg
Every morning, go into shower and do range of motion exercise for the neck while running hot water on your neck

Your problem may be stress related that is occurring during the day as well as in the evening while you sleep. The calcium lactate will help. Another positive suggestion is to go to http://www.drlarrydirect.com/products/Dr… and read on the product Relax to reduce stress and anxiety.

Get a U-shaped pillow (like a travel pillow but the cotton kind, not the blow air into it kind) and put a heating pad on it, this always helps me. When you lay on it, you will get the benefits of heat as well as the way the pillow makes your neck into the correct position.

Have you considered seeing a physiotherapist? They use a variety of techniques and will teach you exercises to do at home. It can work wonders!
