I'm with Frank. However, if you are convinced that you need a pill, try to find the smallest dose possible (less than 500 mgs, for sure) They are finding that large doses of Vitamin C are quite bad for the kidneys years down the line.

The best one would be the one with the fewest "extra" ingredients. I would recommend a capsule over a tablet if it is possible. The nice part is that with capsules is that they are less likely to have all the extra ingredients like dyes, colors, preservatives, etc. that can upset your stomach. Vitamin C is best taken a couple of times per day so if you may want to go with a 500 mg serving. If you only want to take one a day then I would go with a 1000mg dose.

Vitamin C is a very safe vitamin. Any excess will simply be flushed out of your body. There is no evidence that excess vitamin C will cause any damage to your body.
