Question: Will government funding of conventional medicine in western CAPITALIST nations encourage abuse by doctors?

I am not complaining about governments funding legitimate concerns , just about abuse. As an example, a relative of mine went to a doctor to treat an ear ailment, was told to come back the next week for treatment. When the next week rolled around, the doctor looked at him and told him there was nothing the doctor could do to remedy the problem. The doctor then suggested giving the patient a lotion for a pimple on his face! So that was two visits to a quack that cost Canadian taxpayers hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars.
Does this government financing of conventional medicine encourage abuse like this ?

You will always find that where theres profit to be maximized, abuse is never far away.

taxpayer funded, government run anything, no matter what name is applied to your system of government, invites abuse. freedom, of whatever sort, demands constant vigilance, but one compromise of principle begets others, until through corruption and debt slavery you have the moribund remains of what was once a great nation. the form of gangsterism known as communism is founded on false promises of concern for the public health and welfare, as vladimir lenin said, "health care is the cornerstone of socialism".
