I just ate a capsule with Benzocaine in it, HELP?!

Question: I just ate a capsule with Benzocaine in it, HELP?

I was told that it will make you feel good, so I emptied a weight loss capsule and put some orajel in it, about the amount you could fit in the tip of the cap (or a third of the small capsule end) and ate it. Help please, am I in danger.

i really dont think your in danger don't worry about it too much. but you probably shouldn't do things that you don't know the effect of lol
but any who yeah man dont stress out about it but you should call up poison control if your really worried i believe someone above me put the number and ask for their opinion on it.

I highly recommend calling the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222 and tell them what you did. Benzocaine can be harmful when ingested, and they can give you more useful information.

Do not make yourself vomit it up. Benzocaine can cause an altered form of hemoglobin in the blood that can cause lack of oxygen to tissues and a bluish tint. You may need medical assistance.

If you don't know the effects of a drug in your body, why would you even consider putting it in Your mouth? You could be allergic to that chemical for all you know.

Both substances seem to be over the counter, so chances are that you would be fine.
