You'll need to drink alcohol with your mouth.
Puns aside, it will not affect a hernia although it would probably stir up an ulcer.

No problem whatever. You can eat and drink normally but you must avoid heavy lifting or any other strenuous exercise that could put a strain on the hernia and enlarge it.
doesnt alcohol raise your blood pressure? and like if you have a hernia it aggrivates it..
