Thing about MDMA, the reason people are willing to go break the law and risk getting into trouble to buy/sell/manufacture/possess/consume it is because there's nothing else that has the same effects, legal or otherwise.

Most "party pills" contain combinations of plants and other things that are legal, however for the most part, they are just high in caffeine (a lot of them contain guarana, which is the seed of a tree that grows in South America that is high in caffeine). None of these party pills have effects even remotely similar to MDMA, regardless of what they may claim.

Depending on where you live, 4-methylmethcathinone may still be available. It is better known as mephedrone (which is different from methadone or methylone, so don't let the names confuse you). It hasn't gained as much popularity in the US, but it was very popular in the UK in 2009-2010 until the UK government issued a blanket ban on all substituted cathinones, including mephedrone (cathinone is a a chemical found in the leaves of the khat plant, and has been illegal everywhere for many years, but often this ban was circumvented by altering the chemical structure of cathinone slightly, to produce substances such as 4-methylmethcathinone, which was mostly sold as "plant food" to get around analogue laws).

In the US, mephedrone is not specifically made illegal, although it would be considered a chemical analogue of cathinone, which is illegal, so the purchase, sale, or possession of mephrodone with intent for human consumption would be illegal under the Federal Analogue Act of 2003. That is why if you do find it, it is sold as "plant food" or "bath salts" and is prominently labeled "NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION". People say it has effects similar to MDMA, but much shorter in duration. This chemical hasn't been studied for toxicity, and it has resulted in a few deaths, and because of the short duration, may people have reported an irresistible urge to redose compulsively, which leads them to consuming much more than intended, and it can be very dangerous in high doses. The most alarming side effect is that it appears that mephedrone can severely constrict blood vessels, which leads to poor circulation to the extremities, and people have reported blue/purple coloration in their knees, elbows, arms, and legs with moderate to high doses, which could possibly lead to tissue death and necrosis (which in extreme cases could necessitate amputation, though I have not heard of any cases where that was necessary).

Basically, no party pill will make you feel like you are on MDMA. They mostly contain caffeine and will make you feel like you drank a whole pot of coffee or a couple RockStar energy drinks. Mephedrone and other substituted cathinones such as methylone are currently not specifically illegal in the US, and if you look hard enough you can find them, but possession with intent to consume is illegal under the Federal Analogue Act. Additionally, these chemicals have a very short history of human use, and it is unknown just how harmful they may be, but it appears they could cause serious negative health consequences, and are actually probably more dangerous than MDMA itself. That's the sad thing about the drug war. MDMA itself is not particularly dangerous when used with caution, however because of its legal status, other chemicals with little to no history of human use have come in to take its place because they are not specifically legal, however many of them are proving to be more dangerous than MDMA. Your best bet is to stay away from these chemicals.

Recreational drug use, because of the illegal status of commonly used recreational drugs, and the unknown health consequences of new drugs that are not yet illegal, is never safe. Legal "party pills" won't be anything like the real deal. You'd be best to just stay away from all of it. However, if you are hell bent on taking drugs to party, MDMA is probably safer than the other options, if you are willing to risk possible legal consequences, which I do not condone. Just enjoy the music, and have a couple drinks if you must, but you are definitely best off avoiding the rest of it.

okay. all recreational drugs are illegal. so this question is invalid. if its not prescribed to you, its illegal for you to use it. So you might as well do ecstasy. I personally enjoy CCC's. But, i would do the dextromethorphan version, otherwise you'll get a headache.

extacyyy! best there is..just dont get addicted and dont get ripped off. it shouldnt be sold for tht muchh and it last for about 4 to 6hrs.
