I don't know if there is actually a cure, but ways to make them less frequent and more tolerable. I ran across this link. Hope it helps.

None has been discovered ...... yet.
There is a brain surgery that can be done to try to alleviate it but the side effects seem to be worse than the original problem.
Treatment is to avoid caffeine and alcohol and to get enough rest and relaxation.
The alternative medical treatments are acupuncture, hypnosis, massage and biofeedback.
I STARTED OUT AS A CHILD WITH FAMILIAL TREMOR. IT THEN GRADUATED TO ESSENTIAL TREMOR. NOW IT IS DYSTONIA..RELATIVE TO PARKINSON. SO FAR THERE HAS BEEN NO CURE FOR ME EVEN AFTER SEEING 2 NEUROLOGISTS. THEY PUT ME ON CLONAZEPAM BUT IT HASN'T WORKED. BUT, IF I QUIT TAKING IT LIKE I DID ONCE, BY TAPERING DOWN SLOWLY, I WENT INTO MEGA WITHDRAWAL. THE DAMAGE IS IN THE BRAIN. A FRIEND HAS DYSTONIA WORSE THAN I DO AND LAST I HEARD THEY WERE GOING TO DO BRAIN SURGERY ON HIM.
