How can you treat insomnia?!

Question: How can you treat insomnia?
My mother has insomnia and we tried warm milk and hot chocolate and drinking anise, but nothing seems to work.
My mother has Thyroid disease, but she's taking the medicines and she's perfectly fine these days (Thyroid causes insomnia) It can't be Thyroid because she isn't suffering from its other symptoms anymore, thank God.

So, how can we treat insomnia?

I was late for work so many times and it effected my work so much I seriously thought I would be fired.NightCalm? helped me get my first full nights sleep in weeks. I’d read about 5-HTP so NightCalm? made so much sense to me. Can’t recommend it enough.

this is going to sound really disgusting but trust me it helps.
salty lettuce tea. like boil lettuce and put a lil salt in it. The salt has zinc which is known for helping insomnia (she can also take zinc suppliments instead but if shes taking meds for thyroid she prolly doesnt wanna take too much medicine) and the lettuce tea is just something i know my mom has always done when i cant sleep. I recomended the salty lettuce tea to quite a few friends with insomnia and they all thanked me and said it worked fabulously.

i hope this will help your mother get some sleep :) im sorry its nothing tasty, but it works

Some popular herbs and supplements that have been used to treat insomnia are melatonin, valerian root, chamomile, lavender, and hops.
