Question: Does anybody know the tariff code of vegetable supplements?
i need to send supplements to my mother in mexico who has pulmonary fibrosis. the supplements are made from herbs and i been checking the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (2011) and everything is so confuse cause looks like fit in more than two codes. i need help to find the right code. thanks...

They are generally considered dietary supplements. It wouldn't be medicine, but food may be the closest option for it. I would actually ask the clerk at your local post office when you bring it in to ship it... I had to do that several times when I was shipping items for eBay and had a variety of unique items I sold and shipped internationally that I wasn't really sure how it should be categorized.
