Parents won't let me shave?? HELP!!?!

Question: Parents won't let me shave?? HELP!!?
Hi I am 14 years old and in the 9th grade. I was currently one of the guys who didn't shave their mustache off in my grade until my friend did. I mean what's the big deal?! Just a few weeks ago my dad walked in my room when I was changing and he saw my armpits and said I need to shave it off and my pubic hair. I was okay with that and I did. I asked him if I could shave a year ago and then again today and he said "No it will grow back fast and will be thick. Your skin will get rough as a sand paper." my friends said don't shave just use an electric shaver or the ones they use at the barbers. I don't know what to do. People have noticed it and I just want to shave it off. Also cause when people shave it off they look more different.
Thanks

No hair does not grow back thicker everytime you shave it, that's a myth busted by me.
The hairs do get rougher when they grow back because the points at the end of the hairs are flat from shaving.

I shave my armpits with gillette fusion.

You're told to shave your armpits and pubic hair, but not allowed to shave your mustache? That's very weird.

In any case, it doesn't matter when you start shaving - you are still going to get the whiskers and rough skin eventually. It's going to have to come off soon unless you want to look like Frank Zappa; if you don't like it, shave it off.

Disposable razors are cheap and quiet, you're going to have to shave sooner or later so you might as well go for it.

Yes a 16 year old with a beard is not a good look.
