How much nutmeg is toxic?!

Question: How much nutmeg is toxic?
I did some research, and found out that you can become naturally high by ingesting ground nutmeg. I want to try this out, but I also found out that nutmeg can be very poisonous aswell. I have looked high and low for the answer, but no site or peice of text gives a definitive anwser.

So now I ask you. How much nutmeg is it necessary to take to cause toxicity problems?

Please note, I was only planning on taking two teaspoons mixed in with milk or water. I weigh 145 lbs and I am a teenager.

You can't get high on nutmeg. You can eat all you want and it won't matter.

aparantly 1 teaspoon is healthy dose that you can take without any side effects like getting high
but i think it always depends on your own body as well, not just how much you take

if your trying it for the first time, id always sugest a little amount rather than going for a full thing

Have you tried looking for info at www.erowid.org? They have TONS of information about all kinds of intoxicants and hallucinogens.

I've taken nutmeg before. The first time I tried it I was totally wacked out of my mind for a good 6-8 hours. I packed about 14 extra-large (horse-pill sized) capsules with FRESHLY ground nutmeg powder. I then went to sleep. When I awoke the next morning, the first thing I noticed was that the sunlight coming in from the window seemed unusual and out-of-focus. Then I noticed how my thoughts were very disjointed and not much made sense for long. A friend came over later, unaware that I had taken anything. He got really pissed because I couldn't sustain even 10 seconds of a conversation without completely forgetting what had been said. It really wrecked my short-term memory, much more so than marijuana; and anything and everything seemed to make me want to laugh for no apparent reason.

I didn't feel ill, and I don't recall having any negative symptoms once it wore off. Just two teaspoons is probably not going to do anything. You need to take more, otherwise you probably won't feel anything and you'll spend the next several hours having nutmeg burps (which gets annoying fast).

Overall, I actually didn't enjoy it. I would much rather smoke ganja. The short-term memory loss makes it frustrating and unpleasant; you can't focus on anything for very long. It has a kind of flat feel to it.

Do your research first. I don't wanna be responsible for you taking too much. Don't take as much as I did. Look on erowid.org and read other people's experiences.
