I can't get my netipot to work, please help!?!?!

Question: I can't get my netipot to work, please help!?!?
My doctor told me to get a netipot yesterday to use with some allergy pills and nasal spray. When I got home I tried to use it, I know I was following the directions and I even had the help of my husband lol but the water will not come out the other side. I'm really congested, so I don't know if maybe the path between the two nostrils is clogged or what... but any advice on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Answers:

Before starting the netipot, put 3 drops of coconut oil or even clarified butter which has been melted to
liquid form into both your nostrils. Next use warm water to which quarter spoonful of sea-salt has been added (which should be
stirred to melt it in warm water). Then tilt your head to your right side and breathe through your mouth,
(this is the mistake most beginners make - I should know i am a Yoga Teacher) now holding the pot in
your left hand gently insert it into your left nostril, while continuing to do mouth breathing and you will be
surprised how easily water easily glides through your other (right) nostril. After emptying the water from
the pot do likewise on the other-side as well. Now comes the most important part and that is clearing
away the water which has percolated into your sinus area. Just bend at your waist and gently blow your
nose first in front of where you are standing, then lower your neck towards yourself and blow the nose
again, then tilt your neck to your right and blow the nose again and lastly tilt the neck to your left and blow
the nose again. This is one round and you should do continuous six rounds and you will find practically
all the water lodged inside has cleared but still about 10percent is still lurking inside and this also needs
to be cleared which you do by kneeling down and gently lower your head to the ground and wait, then
due to reverse gravity the balance water will also trickle down. After that GENTLY rise. You should do this
VERY CAREFULLY specially if you have blood pressure or vertigo or back pain. I hope this helps.
Good luck and God bless. Cheers! :o) By the way, don't let trolls patrolling on this forum tell you otherwise,
just ignore them.

Try pouring the water into the stopped up side. If it doesn't work, just keep trying. Eventually you should get through.
Did you try slightly warm water with very little sea salt? This is a good wash.

I am surprised to hear of a doctor suggesting a netipot.
