Is excedrin really bad to take?!

Question: Is excedrin really bad to take?
When I was 15 I got wicked bad migraines and would always take excedrin to help...and it did. Now I am 19 and the migraines have came back..they are horrible. My vision gets all fuzzy and my head feels like it's about to explode so I went to the store and bought some excedrin. I took em yesterday and it helped right away. Now today I have another horrible migraine...my question is, is it okay to keep taking them? It's been 24 hours ..my head just hurts so bad. Yes I know I need to go to the doctor but I just applied for insurance and I haven't been approved yet.

Answers:

Excedrin should not be used as a daily supplement, that's for sure. It sounds like you need something like imitrex to counter migraines.

Until then, you can try ibuprofen, serotogenic supplements or calcium blockers. I would recommend mesembrine ("Kanna"- Sceletium tortuousum) for a serotonin supplement and glaucine as a calcium blocker. Both are plant extracts available online.

Excedrin consist of acetaminophen, caffeine and aspirin. Long-term use of aspirin can lead to internal bleeding, stomach ulcers, kidney dysfunction and death.
