i have a question about a creatin food supplement?!

Question: I have a question about a creatin food supplement?
i bought a food supplement called "KREA BOLIC"
it has the following ingredients:
Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate
Tri Creatine Malate
Krea K-(buffered creatine)

all 750mgs

basically it wasnt evaluated by the FDA (but was produced in US). it says to take 6 pills on the morning on the training day..

what do you think ? to me it sounds a bit suspicious

Answers:

Yes, that is a normal recommendation for Creatine, but what you read there is a standard FDA statement on all supplements. In fact, http://www.fda.gov/food/labelingnutritio… lists what supplement bottles are and aren't able to say... it's not that the products haven't been tested by anyone, it's just that the FDA has specific restrictions on the labeling and statements that can be made on supplements so supplement companies put that blanket statement on all supplements to avoid frivolous lawsuits.

With that being said, as long as the company has even decent quality procedures (which most supplement companies in the U.S. do), they will have it tested to verify the contents. It's important to make sure the company has a good rating with either the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia), as those are the main quality assurance organizations (USP is for the U.S., GMP is for the U.S. and worldwide)... if they do, they can guarantee good quality.
I would call the company selling it and ask them to verify their quality. Don't just ask if their quality is good... ask them to prove it. Ask what quality testing organization they use and what kind of rating they've gotten (if applicable, as some don't rate, they just pass/fail).
If they don't know or can't tell you *why* they have good quality (or at least check with a supervisor if they are new), they probably don't have good quality. It's not so much if they can tell you that they have quality, it's more important for them to say *why* they have good quality so you can verify it. To paraphrase Tommy Boy, anyone can crap in a bag and tell you it's the best quality ;-)

It's the right of the consumer to know what they're getting and to make their choices from an educated standing. I hope I helped!

I'm a Product Specialist for a vitamin company and I get asked questions like this quite often ;-)

I am willing to bet the rent that you are paying alot for this product because it sounds so special. All you need is creatine monohydrate which is not a lot of money. The brand I use is from NOW Foods and can be purchased in all health food stores and all over the internet.

No that's normal instructions for creatine. So its fine.
Although I would take anything not approved by the fda. It could be unsafe.
