Is this a fair indictment of mainstream western medicine?!

Answers:

In life, it is never fair. But when comes to eastern or western medicine, it depends on how much you know about it. Medicine is used for healing, so if it works, everyone is happy. Again, sometimes people take the wrong medicine and making their health worse. The way I look at it, we have to be fair when judging it.

Yup.
Lionel Milgrom wrote a similar piece a couple of years ago entitled "Beware Scientism's Onward March".
People claim to have "faith" in modern medicine without ever reading any of the so-called "science", clinical studies etc. They have no idea that 80% of what passes for medical science has NO scientific backing whatsoever. They just hope that what their doctor is doing is the right thing.
People who use holistic forms of medicine are by contrast very well educated people who do read clinical studies and research and are well aware of the marketing focus of drug companies, the cozy relationship with regulators like the FDA, the collusion between drug companies and medical journals and the media. They're aware of the toxic effects of drugs on people and the environment, that drugs often cause more problems than they solve, and the fact that drugs can't cure anything.

it is stupid in principle. it's almost amusing that it accuses homeopathy of being just water, while it boasts that giving people bona fide poisons in amounts that cause disease and sometimes kill is truly legitimate and scientific.

Seems to me like they are just attacking people who use western medicine since they don't get far attacking the science behind it.

No, it is not.

Moreover, reality is never under indictment.

Dunno.
Didn't read it all. it looked interesting until i saw how long the article was and then decided I could be doing something more productive.
Another day when I have more time on my hands.

Nope. It's an idiotic rant by an intellectually lazy salesman.
