I have no confidence! ?!

Question: I have no confidence! ?
I have no confidence what so ever. I have
never had a job because I don't have the confidence to be interviewed for one. Although I had an interview at dental college and got in, I thought this would boost my confidence a lot but it hasnt. Iv got no confidence in meeting new people and talking to boys, I have never really had a proper boyfriend because I'm to shy and not confident around them. Although when I'm drunk I have a lot of confidence and will talk to anybody :/ please help me boost my confidence.

Well obviously, the problem is not how others see you, it's how you see yourself. Don't ask yourself what will make you more pleasing to others, but what would YOU find attractive in other people? A charismatic personality, Beautiful hair, a great sense of humor, maybe a well-toned physique? Whatever you find attractive in a person, apply to yourself and work on it, so you can have those characteristics. As soon as you see yourself in a way that you like, others will see that you are happy with yourself and that will naturally attract them, friends or guys alike. That is the definition of confidence; when it is obvious to others that you are satisfied with yourself and it just shows. Everyone has confidence when they are drunk, but really that is why many people become alcoholics, so don't think about that. Have natural confidence that you build yourself by working on your personality. You have to practice at anything you want to be well at. Change your style a bit and look in the mirror, practice talking to people and making random conversations in public. You have to try to be successful. Learn some funny jokes to bring up in conversations and read up on interesting books and information you could use to sound interesting. Take care of your body, for your health because being healthy is sexy. Always walk with confidence as well, upright with your back straight, looking forward, like you know where you are going. This makes a person look reliable and confident. Even if you do this, do it for yourself, and put your education first. Right there, you said you got in a dental college, so that should give you some confidence, Good Luck!

Building confidence over the years.

Well you need to be eased into these things.
Join a club or society where you get to meat new people who have common interests.
From that other things will follow.
Otherwise take up a sport.
It is scary at first but its second nature once you get used to it.
I'm very shy. In my job i have to ask women who don't know me from a bar of soap all aboout their medical history which could include a lot of Gynae questions.
I then have to physically touch them and work on them on most parts of their body.
I used to the whole thing really scary. Now its completely normal. So normal i sometimes forget how odd it is for the person who has never met me before!

I have no problem randomly chatting to people in my everyday life although i used to be fearful of it.
