What will weed do to him?!

Question: What will weed do to him?
I'm really worried for a friend of mine, he's 15 and he's become obsessed with weed. He does it most like and he's changed like hell. I want to know what weed'll do to him in the long run. I've done it in the past, I didn't like it all. But what's so addictive? and what can I do to make him quit?
Is it going to effect his mental health badly? D:
thankyou xox

Weed is not physically addictive. You can get into the habit, but it's a psychological addiction, not a physical one. And we are all psychologically addicted to something or other.

It's not really physically harmful either. Of course it can't be good for you to draw burning smoke into your lungs, but pot is not associated with lung cancer or COPD or emphysema as tobacco is. Nobody has ever been shown to have died from smoking pot.

The thing is, some people use it to escape their lives. If you're really lazy, pot gives you an excuse to be lazy. But it's the laziness that's the problem.

I don't think 15 year olds should smoke pot. It has nothing to do with it being dangerous, being a 'gateway drug' or addictive or anything like that. But at 15 your mind is still developing and being stoned all the time could affect that.

But all you can do is tell him how you feel and then stand back. He won't stop until HE wants to stop. You can't lock him up. You can't keep weed out of his hands. And you can't just nag him forever that he should quit, that won't work at all. All you can do is tell him how you feel about it and then let him make his own decisions.

The weed can cause schizophrenia if sb haw tendencies towards schizophrenic disorders (eg has a family history). Other than that, it impairs short term memory and, taken by underage people, like your friend, can have long term effects in cognition... i recomend that he stops it now and maybe try it again when he 's twenty or something...

weed actually isnt very addictive, tests show that people crave tobacco more. weed does kill brain cells, although not very many at a time since were born with a quadrillion or so... other than him being spaced out while he's high the drug should have no long-term affect

hahha i hated when then did it then got addicted. YOUR NEVER THE SAME. im currently going to write a book on the personality change that occurs. i just smoke salvia now
