I accidentally took the wrong pill.?!

Question: I accidentally took the wrong pill.?
I was ordered to take two pills of amoxicillin every 12 hours, or twice a day, in order to get rid of a sinus infection. I already took one this morning at around 10am, and just took my second one. Turns out, I had an old container of amoxicillin from awhile back. That container said to take it once a day, thus being a stronger pill.

I already had my first pill this morning, and just took a stronger version of it now. Will it do any damage, or do I have to worry about over dosing throughout the night?

Answers:

You'll probably be fine.

How old is the old drug? Why do you still have it hanging around? You're supposed to take antibiotics until they're done.

If you're really concerned, call your pharmacist. They're the expert on medications, doses, and the effects and side-effects. If the pharmacies are closed, call poison control to ask.

don't worry, just don't do it again

You'll probably be fine, but even though one pill is stronger, don't change the cycle! It'll mess the whole thing up...

i dont know anything about medicine but i'd call a doctor just to be safe

it probably wont hurt u but talk to a pharmasist or a doctor
