Question: Does correcting posture really inraease height?
i read from a website tha correcting posture can increase height, simply by makig the spine straighter or something lik that. is it true? and by how many inches? thanks!

One way or another, Yes! If you have a very bad posture, this actually lessens your height, since you spend walking or sitting or standing, slouching. You can check it out by trying to make a perfect pose flat in the wall, and with a measuring height (i dunno what its called, sorry). Mark it, and then, just do the usual stand and stand again on a measuring height and mark it. You will see the difference.

Moreover, if you really had a very curve back, a few inch (or inches) will absolutely regain your height. Posture braces can make it easier for you since you don't need to go those tiring exercise. It will correct your posture simply by using it regularly every day.

It depends how bad your posture is. Try this: Get a friend to help you and stand with your back to a wall so that your buttocks, shoulder blades and the back of your head touch the wall, looking straight ahead. Get the friend to slide a ruler flat over the top of your head to touch the wall behind & make a pencil mark on the wall. Now measure your height from the floor to this mark.. This is your good posture height. Now repeat this keeping you buttocks against the wall but allow your belly to round out and slump your shoulder blades away from the wall and allow you head to come forward - or just stand loosly the way you always do.... Measure your height again. This is your bad posture height! See the difference.



ADVICE FOR HEIGHT INCREASE

Good intake of calcium daily as found in various foodstuffs like tonned milk, banana, ragi, nachni, yogurt, my favourite nachos with cheese..
a best way i cud advice is to have milk shakes(chocolate, coffee flavoure) 2-3 times a day as an replacement for tea, coffee is a good alternative...

Good sleep aftr exercises helps ur bones to relax and expand.. Atlest 8hrs good sleep at night...
Remember food without exercises or exercises without food wont help you much.
Also there are genetics n familial relationships related to height.. i.e if either ur parents are short heighted or either ur brother , sister.. than there are little chances for increase in height...BUT keep a positive attitude follow the daily regimen of food n exercises.If you goin to gym regularly, i wud advice not to perform any weight lifting exercises... stritctly NO..
