Question: Do Aromatherapy Sticks Work Well?

I've bought an aromatherapy stick for a party I'm going to next week as I have a fairly severe phobia of vomit. I've never used the stick before, so I'm a bit worried as to whether it will actually work or not.
Does anyone have any experiences with aromatherapy sticks for panic attacks?

Aromatherapy is all bunk. None of it works even in the slightest bit. The very premise is completely without plausibility.
