Question: I'm really scared of throwing up. can someone help me calm down?
i got the flu and i feel really bad.

eat some saltine crackers and slowly, very slowly, sip water. focus on something else, but get off the computer. lie down with a blanket and watch a movie (something that doesn't deal with anything gross), try not to move unless you have to. if you feel like you are about to puke, breathe deeply and don't think about anything gross or puking, get into a cool area (or turn on a fan), and think about something totally random. Sometimes, chewing gum helps, but make sure its not extremely minty, as that may upset your stomach. but don't hold your puke in. if you are going to puke, just remind yourself its about 10 seconds of misery, and then you feel better.

Basil tea helps the flu and to lower fevers, it's actually quite interesting tasting, I had some earlier tonight:

Simmer a few peppercorns and a tablespoon of basil in a pint of water for 20 minutes. Sip slowly, and add honey if necessary.

You can also steep ginger as a tea to help relieve nausea, colds, bronchitis, the flu, and to promote circulation.

I HATE IT TOO! Well just take deep breaths when you feel like your about to throw up. And don't eat anything. Just sit down and try not to shake your self up. I hope you feel better.

I've stopped my self from throwing up.



Get a damp cloth and put it on your forehead, and just rest, try to sleep it off. :)
