What herb or pill can you take at THAT MOMENT to stop SVT?!

I have svt. BUT i rarely have it. Im like in the hospital maybe once a year. They give me cardizam. They also prescribed it for me. BUT i looked at the side effects and cant see myself taking something EVERDAY for something I rarely have. But I want to travel so has anyone taken for example cardizam at that moment by opening it up and it worked? Or took a herb of some sort that worked.

I am looking for alternative way to stop this inconvenience.
