Answers:

East Indians take a mixture of black pepper and honey every morning as a preventative for many common illnesses. When treating acute illnesses they take it several times a day. Black pepper has been known to help cough, diarrhea, fever, gas, indigestion, sinus congestion, and sore throat.

Cloves help with digestive problems and are good for nausea. Make a tea of one half teaspoon powdered cloves to a cup of boiling water. Let it sit for 20 minutes and sip slowly. Add honey if necessary.

Steep ginger as tea or nausea, colds, bronchitis, the flu, and to promote circulation.

When used as a tea, oregano helps the coughs of colds and whooping cough.

Internally, rosemary can be used as a pain reliever for headaches.

A fusion of thyme has been known to help bronchitis, colds, and whooping cough.

Tell your parents that going to school sick and getting other people sick is not okay, and if they wont listen, when you get to school, go straight to the nurse's office and explain that you're sick.

The only way to treat a cold is to get plenty of rest- the more time you're on you're feet, the worse it'll feel. So, convince your parents to let you stay in bed, and try some good old hot tea for the sore throat. Not a whole lot more you can do aside from that.

well i've seen some zicam commercials for their cold remedy and they say 'suffer through the cold, or shorten it' like they mean if you take the zicam it'll shorten your cold. supposedly it works really good and you can probably find it at any drugstore, so ask your parents if they could go get you some. and i'm not trying to make this seem like spam, but this stuff works good. and i know what you mean how you don't want to be sick for the holidays, cuz my friend had the flu and it turned into pneumonia and she was better when she came to school, but she still had a cough, and a lot of other people must have caught it, cuz many people were gone lately. so i'm using hand sanitizer and staying away from sick people who came back with just a mild cough. today's my last day until winter break, so i'm almost there.

zicam's awesomeness

There is no cure for the common cold.
