first off you have to understand that consuming cannabis is about as dangerous as eating a spoonful of sugar a day. Yes it has its dangers, but if taken responsibly it pretty much harmless. have you seen the movie super high me? no! well you should!!! and weed was illegal because of racism toward the Mexicans, greed from booze and tobacco company's, and fear. not because uncle Sam is looking after our youth.

common sense fool

I do believe it should be legal, for these reasons:
1. It is healthier for you than smoking tobacco, it has few proven long-term side effects (some of them actually beneficial to your health),
2. It is a great way for you to relax, as well as make you hungry (if you are having eating problems).
3. I have personally been both drunk and high, and I felt like I had a lot more control over my actions when I was high, so if you're just looking for a buzz I believe ingesting marijuana is a safer bet than alcohol.
4. Unlike alcohol, it doesn't make people aggressive. Most users feel extremely relaxed and lethargic, not aggressive and angry like alcohol makes them.

All this being said, I do believe if it were legalized that it should have some strict regulations. For example, no ingesting it in public, no one using it under the age of 18, and no driving while under the influence. One of the main reasons that the government has not yet legalized it is the difficulty in which it would have of regulating and taxing it. Tobacco is very difficult to grow, which is why only authorized sellers have it for sale. Marijuana, on the other hand, is very easy to grow, and people can just (and do now) grow it in their backyard, never having it pass through governmental channels and taxes.

Hope this helped.

Experience

Smoking marijuana is by far safer than drinking alcohol. No matter how much weed you smoke you can't overdose, unlike alcohol. You also don't get hangovers, which is a plus. You don't get the spins, so if you were to drive under the influence, it would not be as dangerous. Also weed is by far better than spice. I have heard about many emergency room visits because of spice but never weed. You are also less likely to get addicted to weed then alcohol or many other illicit drugs or even prescription drugs. Although some people can get addicted to weed, it is far less harmful than being an alcoholic.

However, if weed were legal, it would be a lot more expensive because they would tax it. But hey, if it were legal than you couldn't get arrested for smoking it. In my opinion, no one should get arrested for smoking weed.

weed is much safer thatn booze you would never see two stoners fighting like you would see alcoholics. its relaxing, and would make people more chill and relaxed. its not chemically addicting, however people get used to the fact of smoking it...its safer than most sleeping pills, anti depressents, there are some side affects but what medicine out their doesnt have a side effect...they should legalize it because it would make money and the govt woulld have control over people using while driving.
