Do you believe chiropractors are legitimate or is it just an excuse to touch you!

Question: Do you believe chiropractors are legitimate or is it just an excuse to touch your butt?
I have some back pain and was thinking about going to see a chiropractor. I watched some YouTube videos about it and there seems to be a lot of butt touching. Is chiropractic a good treatment, just an excuse for butt touching or both?

Answers:

If the chiropractor has no ugly patients, you should be suspicious.

My father-in-law suffered for many years with a bad back.

One day someone asked him if he had ever gone to see a Chiropractor.

"No," was the reply, "My doctor told me he didn't recommend them."

Some time later, after a terrible day of suffering, he was finally convinced to try out the Chiropractor and made an appointment.

When he entered the Doctor's office, the Doc said," I see your problem, it's a pinched nerve that you have had for a few years, isn't that correct?"

"Yeah, it is, how did you know," the Doc was asked.

"Been there, done that," was the confident reply, "Now lay down and I'll fix you up."

SNAP, CRUNCH, and Yikes could be heard.

Thirty minutes later, the man with former pain stood and practically danced out of the office.

That night I asked him what he thought of the Chiropractor and his methods.

"Had I known sooner, just think of the PAIN I would NOT have had, damn Family Doctors," was all he said.

PS: Not all pain and treatments can help, or is even recommended by those in the know, however it is ALWAYS a good idea to seek opinions regardless.
;-)
PPS: One must wonder why, if Chiropractic treatment is good or not, does the Ontario, (Canada) Government cover the cost for Chiropractors for some time now?

Of course, you unlucky folks in the richest country in the world, most likely can not get it covered, if I'm wrong, pardon me.

chiropractors can put your back into place, but when it goes out, the muscles go in spasm, so if you don't break down the muscle spasms, it may just go back out again. Use a heating pad, and hot baths to relax the muscles, massage is great for this also, and believe me, chiropractors arn't interested in touching your butt, but doing their job of healing...if your butt muscles are sore, when you press on them, you can break down the muscle spasms by massaging them, and sometimes make your hip and lower back go back into place, I was a massage therapist, and believe me you see so many bod's its not a bid deal,ya know...we all got one.

As a chiropractor I can tell you that it is not about touching butts!

There are large bones in your lower body called your ilium that chiropractors adjust. To a lay person it may appear like butt touching but it is not. You should find a chiropractor that will explain what they are doing to you and why they are doing it. I also ask for permission from my patients before I adjust or palpate those areas.

it isn't actually necessary to touch anyone's backside unless the doctor, as many are, do full spine "adjustment" or manipulation. the root of nerve interference is in the upper neck area, and therefore this is the essential place for the chiropractor to focus their attention. moving other secondary misalignments may make the patient feel better faster, but it is non-essential.

Yeah 80 year old arses you really want to get your hands on aye!

No it is not.
Like someone said you don't want to go to school for all that time and spend all that money just to abuse people.
There are much cheaper and easier ways to do that.

NZ registered Osteopath. Has just about every patient resting their sacrum on my hand when doing Involuntary motion treatments. Not a single one has thought I was using it as an excuse to touch their bottoms.

Yes, chiropracters spend thousands of dollars for schooling just so they can touch your butt.
