anyone have detox bath experience?!

Question: Anyone have detox bath experience?
Does anyone have any experience doing detox baths? If so what did you use? Epsom salt? Baking soda? Ginger? Essential oils?
How did it feel during and after?
Did you feel detoxified?
How often do you do it?
What kind of differences do you notice in your sleep, appearance, digestion, complexion, weight, etc.?

No, there's no such thing as a 'detox bath'.

Sure, soaking in nice smelling stuff might make you feel nice, but it won't have any effect on your body.

Be aware of silly statements such as: "I did the foot bath detoxes, with the machine, that pulls heavy metals out of your body, and it helped to save my life."

If a simple foot bath saved lives they'd have them in hospitals, lmao!

I guess you don't realize that 'detox' is a scam? The term has no meaning outside of the clinical treatment of drug addiction or poisoning. Your body has evolved to get rid of unwanted substances via the liver and kidneys; you can't improve that function without medical assistance. Think about it - how would putting salts or oils in a bath remove toxins from your body? If you actually had toxic levels of anything in your system, you would be very ill and need a hospital.

EDIT: @kathy millar, people like me are here to warn against the likes of you, who give out bad and sometimes dangerous misinformation. You can't 'debunk' something unless it is bunk to begin with. You are clearly a credulous person prone to magical thinking. You have fallen for the detox scam and you are happily passing on this scam to others.

Detox foot baths DO NOT WORK. See for yourself - read: http://www.devicewatch.org/reports/aquad…

Are you able to provide evidence that alternative medicine detox methods work? Can you confirm what toxins are being removed, provide evidence that these 'toxins' accumulate in the body, and explain what is the mechanism for their removal?

You can use Epsom salts for a detox bath, but it works best if you're also on a detox diet. The salts help your muscles relax so you can unwind. You have to take it easy for 10-15 minutes after a long soak while you're body picks up speed again. Drink a few glasses of water to ensure you don't get dehydrated.

Detox pills, and detoxification and cleansing in general, are neither useful nor necessary unless you have had long-term narcotic use or are chronically constipated. Detoxification and cleansing has no proven medical benefits for the average person whatsoever. It will NOT help you lose any significant amount of fat. Your intestines are clean unless you use large amounts of muscle relaxers, or have serious digestive illness.

A bath is relaxing, but nothing more. Detox is nothing but a buzz word favored by idiots and scam artists.

I can't believe we have people of medical science on here to debunk! Geez! Almost like the religions fighting, lol. Guess it's kinda like religion, God/nature or science?? I always thought epsom salts would help detox, I know they healed all my scratches in an hour when I chased a guy that stole my purse through the woods, in my bathing suit! I did the foot bath detoxes, with the machine, that pulls heavy metals out of your body, and it helped to save my life. Toxins build up in your body, and contribute to aging and all kinds of other things, the function of your glands...I think that distilled water is good for a few weeks, also if you can get a black berkey water filter that takes out everything, even the floride, and if you do this all the time, a trace mineral supplement is important to get your minerals. Natures sunshine also has excellent detoxes, you start with the liver, then the lymph, and just move through them one at a time. Also drinking the juice of a lemon first thing in the morning helps detox your liver. Drink a lot of water with detoxing to flush the stuff out, if you don't you may feel weak and kinda dizzy...but very slight. Also sweating helps your body detox, you should actually do something every day that you sweat. also juicing carrot a little celery and a beet, helps you detox. E-tea is also great. After you go tthrough full detox, like with natures sunshine, you feel lighter, younger, and have more energy and resistance to disease..dis-ease.
