I found that keeping your throat warm seems to help, wrap a scarf around your neck, or use a heating pad on low, don't make it too hot though, or one of those rice things you warm in the microwave is great, you also breathe the rice steam, with that, and it seems to help. Do this always at the first sign of a sore throat, and many times if you do it right away you won't get the sore throat.

Yes gargling with lukewarm salted water is helpful.

You may also drink lukewarm water(8-10 glasses) copiously daily.

Gargling with salt water does help. To boost your immune system, have some chicken soup, eat lots of fruit and vegetables. If you have it, add some fresh garlic to that chicken soup. Take Vitamin D. Get lots of sleep.

Stay away from sugar. Sugar feeds infection and inflammation.

Don't do just one of these things. Do all of them to get better.

my mom used to do this for me after a few cups it seemed to be helping :)
boil water and add honey.
drink it warm. it tastes good too.
avoid spicy foods :)

i know i might sound incredibly stupid right now,
but
ICE CREAMMMMM ~~

i'm not even joking.
ice cream does help.

Try the Ricola Throat Drops. They work. They are in a yellow package. You can get them at like Walmart and any other drugstore.
