? Storing nutrients and vitamins
? Moderating chemical levels in the body
Mayo Clinic is a leading center for treatment of and research on liver diseases.
No alternative medicine treatments have been proved to treat liver cirrhosis. Many alternative therapies are promoted as liver cleansing or liver flushing treatments, but there is no evidence to support [monetize] this. Talk with your doctor if you're interested in trying alternative medicine to help you cope with cirrhosis.
Alternative treatments that are generally safe
Some alternative treatments have had some limited testing in people with liver disease. While none has shown any clear evidence that it can help people with liver disease, the treatments are relatively safe when discussed with your doctor and used as directed. Examples include:

The absolute best remedy for liver problems is Milk Thistle. You can get this at most health food stores. Pharmaceutical companies have imitated it's properties for years. This herb will reverse years of damage in a week and in worse cases up to a couple months. Please take my advice I have seen it work in many cases. My second job is a bartender and liver problems and regular patrons sometimes go hand in hand. My cat even benefited from it when I took him for his last vet visit. It was actually my vet that had told me that milk thistle was in the pharmaceutical pill that he prescribed when I had asked if it was safe for pets also.
