What natural items can I eat to fight the cholesterol that is produced by the bo!

Question: What natural items can I eat to fight the cholesterol that is produced by the body?
Bad cholesterol is in the family. I heard some juices like Acai berry and some natural vitamins fight this bad cholesterol that the body produces naturally. This is cholesterol not as the result from eating food high in cholesterol.

You'd benefit from a college-level course in physiology. Your body NEEDS cholesterol; that's why it produces its own. And don't take Andy-boy's response as gospel - he has a sprinkle of truth piled on a mountain of misinformation!

Eat more fruits and vegetables, bacteria and algae foods, such as konjac, fungus, kelp, wakame, onion, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, etc., these foods are rich in dietary fiber help the excretion of cholesterol. Excretion of cholesterol in the human body the main way is through the bile, the liver cholesterol synthesis by bile acids, bile acids in the gastrointestinal tract with the bile into the digestion of fat, after some re-absorption of bile acid metabolism by the blood back to the "recycled", the other part Acid metabolites are excreted with the feces. The role of dietary fiber is more acid metabolite adsorption, so that discharge rather than re-recycled. Thus, the liver, "but to"use more cholesterol synthesis of acid to supplement the loss of bile acids. Many studies confirm that increasing dietary fiber intake has a clear role in lowering cholesterol.

There is another stream of thinking out there that your body makes cholesterol regardless of the foods you eat, the thing that is important is to have the B vitamins necessary to break down excess, liver, nutritional brewers yeast from the health food store, and wheat germ, keep it in the freezer if it tastes sour it is rancid, I buy it in a jar in the cereal isle, that's never rancid and if you keep it in the freezer it will stay good, are your best sources. Cold pressed/expeller pressed oils, butter and margerine and salad oils are good, hydrogenated oils, those that don't have to be kept refrigerated, are not, including margerine, and pasturized process cheese food. You can also buy soy lethecin, as a good source of you b vitamins cholin and inositol, which help break down plaque in your arteries, in my belief...my friend who listens to short wave says most of it is made up, the dangers, to get people on meds that are worse for you. The biggest key to a healthy heart is the answer to these two questions: Are you happy? and Do you love your job? If the answer is yes to these two questions, you are not at risk for a heart attack. It is strange how intelligent we really are, there are more heart attacks at 9 am on monday mornings!

I also have a family history of heart disease that is why I am here. I learn all I can so I deter open heart surgery someday.

Fruits and vegetables are very important in fighting the bad cholesterol. They increase the good choleterol and lower the bad.

Exercise also does this. They say you need 30 minutes per day.

On the page below is a link for a vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant that helps with this.

Exercise Fruits Vegetables Omega 3 Acai berry all the best in fighting the bad cholesterol

Wow, I can't recall the last time I saw an answer so chock full of such varied AND wrong information.

No, acai won't do it - if I were in your shoes I would worry more about homocystine. Ask your doctor what he thinks of Folic acid and B12 for you - - and contrary to what some folks will say, those are two that every doctor will know about - - they are drugs above the OTC level - and essential in most body functions.

Good Luck

There are several medical studies worldwide that clearly show that higher cholesterol levels in the body actually increases longevity instead of decreasing it.

You can't fight a battle before you know what you're up against. Get an NMR or a VAP test, then post your results here.
You will then receive 5 completely different solutions and it will be up to you to pick the right one or you can make an appt. with a lipidologist.

A bowl of oatmeal during breakfast may help in the fight against bad cholesterol.

Bad cholesterol is not produced by the body ,but by eating animal products. All of them coat your veins and kill half to a third of people eventually with heart attacks. Good cholesterol is produced naturally by the body in the gut and is absolutely necessary for many things , including carrying vitamins around the body, especially all the B vitamins.
There is also no fibre at all in any animal product, which only makes the bad fat clog and block everything inside those that ingest that type of food. [which is most people]
Exercise helps heaps in clearing as does a vegan diet also.

AHHH! 4 ticks down, means taste comes before truth here it seems?
