Phytoestrogens have a very weak effect on human estrogen receptors. Phytoestrogen particles actually compete for estrogen receptors against human, animal and synthetic estrogen particles.

For this reason, phytoestrogens from plants actually act to reduce the effect of estrogen on the body, thereby helping to reduce man boobs in men and reduce breast pain and breast fullness in women.

So you have nothing to worry about ^_^

Probably not.
Excessive oestrogen and its mimics are broken down by the Liver. Gynaecomastia is more common in men who have Liver failure or if they are taking Hormones for a gender reassignment.
Although it is possible this could happen its unlikely he would injest enough sterols to cause significantly raise the level of Oestrogen in his body, if he is otherwise healthy.

Very good question. I would have to say "no". A more accurate version of your question would be:

"Do plant sterols cause gynecomastia"?

In general, no, but often plant sterols are used as the precursor for the manufacture of testosterone and estrogen-like substances that could theoretically cause gynecomastia.

Highly doubtful. If he did, I would suspect another issue at work. Vegetarians who eat a lot of soy aren't known for needing bras ;)

no I dont think so, why would a margarine butter thingy do that?
