What's it like to do shrooms?!

Question: What's it like to do shrooms?
Is it just interesting, or can it terrify you?

Answers:

Go to the Shroomery message board (blog) at http://www.shroomery.org/6222/Experience… They have plenty of info on it and a ton of users that use it. They can give you more direct information on it and what its like.

From what I've learned about it, it can be both terrifying and interesting depending on your state of mind before trying them; and how much you do for the first time. Supposedly, your subconscious mind comes to life, so if you are having dreams or thinking of clowns for instance, then there's a great chance you may see them during your trip. Things become more amplified like sound, objects, sense of smell, taste. Basically dull things become more lifelike. Kind of like the inanimate world coming to life so to speak... I've always wanted to try them but I don't want to do them alone LoL. So I'm waiting on the right guy to come along that is cool enough to wanna try it with me.

Just me baby..

It can do both.

It can convince yourself that you are dying. It can also convince yourself that you can see the divine light flowing out of everyone and every object. They can convince you time doesn't exist. They can teach you the extent of which perception creates reality. All these changes occur because of the ingredient in shrooms that change your perception: psilocybin.

Shrooms are a gamble. However, a good set and setting will drastically reduce your chance for a bad trip. Also, if you are prone to anxiety or depression, best to stay away from shroms. There have cases of psilocybin-induced-psychosis.

If you are planning on shrooming, have a nice trip!

Great question. Your respondents are dynamite -- they should both get 20 points each.
