You're asking "when does it start"? Well it shouldn't if you follow your diet plan from the dietitian.

I haven't experienced this after surgery at all. I know people who have. It started when they ate fatty foods.

Eventually their bodies adapted and they were better able to tolerate those foods.

I just had my gallbladder surgery last week and I didn't experience any diarrhea.
