Chest pain for 3 weeks and Dr prescribed Pain meds without even knowing what!

Question: Chest pain for 3 weeks and Dr prescribed Pain meds without even knowing what's wrong. Should Alternative?
i'm tired of drs. All they prescribe is drugs.. They never try to give us natural stuff first.

I'm having chest pain for weeks now and they said take advil. Why take it if i don't even know what i have. just drug myself and it doesn't even work. I drank the advil for many days now.

so stop taking the advil buddy ..... try increasing your intake of calcium from fresh food sources.... green salads vegies and green vegies are rich in calcium ..... as are ground up nuts and seeds like brazil nuts and almonds (ground up for easier digestion) and fresh fish such as tuna and salmon.... without sufficient calcium in your system you will never assimilate sufficient b12 (cobalamin) supplies ... and a deficiency in b12 will produce chest pains and heart palpitations, ataxia (tripping over yourself), unsteady gait, depression, headaches and migraines, fatigue and exhaustion (due to insufficient iron being able to be assimilated ~ iron needs b12 and calcium for effective assimilation) ... do you also suffer from headaches, migraines, digestive issues such as constipation, bloating, moodiness and irritability, achy bones and insomnia?? these are all symptoms of calcium deficiency.

try juicing green vegies if you don't like eating them.... chop the end off a bunch of celery and cut off the leaves and juice it with a peeled lemon or apple for flavor and drink it ..... good source of calcium and magnesium, vitamin c, fibre, potassium .... and the beauty is that there are no nasty sludge chemicals to trash your liver ....... and btw ..... prescription and otc meds will trash your calcium supplies.... as will alcohol, caffeine, sodas and pop, laxatives, diuretics and a diet high in processed sugar, processed salt, animal protein and saturated fat..... they raise the uric acid levels in your blood stream thus prompting your body to rip the precious minerals such as calcium and magnesium right out of your bones in an attempt to neutralise it.

Do what a lot of people are doing instead: see a professional Homeopath or Naturopath.
Drugs and surgery should always be used as a LAST resort because of toxic side effects/damage to your organs, and there's never any guarantee of anything anyway.
Medical "error" and death by supposedly properly prescribed prescription drugs ranks in the top four causes of death worldwide. I just love these armchair trolls who want to bash non-conventional treatments as "quackery".
By the way, the term "quack" was invented to describe dentists who used mercury fillings. Isn't that a kicker?!

It is very bad practice for a medical doctor to prescribe drugs without knowing what the problem is - that is terrible! It says it all though. They are more interested in selling drugs rather than actually helping their patients. I would look for a better doctor. Get the problem sorted out early and always seek a second opinion. Find a doctor who has the time to do their job properly.

The doctor just told you to take advil? No x-rays? No examination? There are several things that could cause chest pain. Acid reflux, heart attack, pneumonia, broken ribs... Probably need to be firmer with your doctor to get a proper exam.

they must serve the interests of their masters, the drug companies, first. this is relatively common practice. it's also known as malpractice. no objective findings, yet they call this crap "science-based" medicine? what a joke. too bad the consequences aren't so funny.

Maybe it's time to find another doctor?

I seriously doubt you are giving us the full story.

And as I said in your earlier question, the 'natural stuff', or alternative medicine is only alternative because it has not been proved to work, or it has been proved not to work. So by definition it's quackery, and no ethical Dr would refer to you to quackery.

Drs don't have any problems with 'natural stuff' if it works for the condition and is safe - in that case it's not alternative medicine. It's just medicine.
