The Launch Box, if I am correct, does not have a temp control. Its just a battery heating an element until the batt dies. The act of taking a hit draws the heat over the mj, vaping it.
Good portable vaporizers dont seem to exist, that I am aware of. I have a table top plug in vape. Its not a bad size, still easy to transport. The worst part about it is that it cost more than the electronics are worth, primarily because its a gray market product - not technically legal, but not technically illegal.
Yeah, more or less, if you arent getting any vapor at all with a hit, its gone. Some people save their already vaped materials and use it later on to make hash, or throw together when you are out of everything else. I actually used to not vape mine dry specifically for that reason.
However, you might also want to make sure you are hot enough to create vapor at all.
