What is color therapy used for?!

Question: What is color therapy used for?
How do you heal some illnesses with color? How does it work?

Answers:

I believe that colors change moods and to heal an ill person, bright, vibrant colors are usually used as it uplifts the mood - hence causing them to have a brighter outlook in life despite their illnesses. Many forms of illnesses are not only physical, but mentally as well. So when their mental health is good, physical recovery is usually much faster. Trust me, I have done a self-treatment of color therapy and it worked.

I had viral fever for the first time this year, and it was so bad, I was in bed for 3 weeks and I was still feeling like crap. I usually recover pretty quickly, like in less than a week when I have fever. But this viral fever was so bad, all I thought about everyday was about how my life sucked and how gloomy my room is. Then, my friend told me about the powers of color therapy and I decided to try something. I got my sister to buy 3 huge boards in bright red, vermillion orange, and sunny yellow. I hung those up in my room and everyday, I would write a positive feeling on a piece of neon green post-it and paste it in one of the boards and rearrange those emotions based on the 3 boards. Red would be for emotions that I want to feel. Orange for emotions that I have felt on certain days. And yellow is reserved for how I'm feeling today.

So it's what I do for the duration of my illness, everyday I would rearrange my emotions and write positive emotions, quotes and words. I even have a separate pink post-it to write all the things I want to do when I recover. That was a really effective method for me and I'm really glad it worked.
I do believe that colors should be used with words for maximum effectiveness. I was sick in bed for 3 weeks and once I started my color therapy, I was up and about one week later. :)

In color therapy, a person who's (supposed illness) personality can be enhanced or altered in a fashion to help he or she to change a particluar thing about themselves,....: such as "anger issues" melancholoy, depression,.....or even certain sight issues.....all of these things can be addressed directly by changing the immediate environment of that person just slightly or modestly using colors which change a person's ideas indierctly,..in such a way that the person does or doesn't notice but the brain adjusts that person's reactions to the imediate surrounds. IE: if a person's anger issues are in question?..if that person wears glasses,..it is totally possible to use the color "red" in the tone of "Rose" to adjust the person's idea of how to react to what is going on around him or her. (seriously I have seen it work)....or to use the color "Majenta" to adjust an artist's misuse of the color's of blue and green......or in Vision, the use of the color Yellow and brown to correct a person's accute contrasts ability....or in the speeding up (or the help in trying to speed up the cure of colds) the use of "Bright whites and Cream tones, rose colors and light greens......we always associate curing colds with a bowl of chicken noodle soup, the color will always be there in our minds!!!! and so we use it in color therapy even if we don't have the soup.....it's an associational-quasi-science....I hope this was helpful.

It doesn't heal people otherwise they would use it in hospitals. If you like nice colours then feel free to redecorate your house, but it won't cure any illness.
