xanax mixed with alcohol?!

Question: Xanax mixed with alcohol?
my mom is psycho...
She just took the rest of her bottle of xanax 0.5 mg. She isnt sure how much was left in there... I think there was probably about 10 left, so she probably took about 5mg total, Also she has been drinking tonight, im guessing shes had about half a pint of 100 proof vodka.
She took them bout 20 mins ago and now she kinda just keeps sleeping in and out of it.

So im wondeing if i need to take her her to the hospital or what?? shes about 5'7 160 lbs.
Thanks

absolutely...she could DIE.

t is generally recommended that you avoid drinking alcohol during treatment with Xanax. Alcohol can not only increase your risk of certain Xanax side effects, but it may also worsen mental illness in people with anxiety or panic disorder. Since Xanax and alcohol are both CNS depressants, they can both slow the activity of the brain, which increases your risk of serious reactions.

hmmm yes right away!!!! call 911!!!!!

Well, 160 pounds?...5Mg xanax.half a pint of vodka...most likely she'll be fine but she'll also be pissed of that she won't have any xanax left tomorrow......wow bummer...Christmas eve and no xanax......that is a real bummer..the hopsital might be a bit over the edge at this poiint in time..monitor her breathing...monitor her pulse...chances are she'll be just fine.....this is just a cry for attention...I think she just wants attention...."So, what are you gonna do for Christmas?"( seriously, do you want to give her the present of waking up in the hospital?)......your Mom will be fine dear, groggy but fine....maybe even a bit hung over but let her have her head ache and maybe puke a bit...but make sure she has something in her stomach, maybe some toast or something like that...if she gets grumpy,....just try and ignore it....if she gets angry or mean, leave the house and make sure that "you are ok"....but try and monitor her from outside if you can....just make sure you're ok....I take it that she is depressed or something.....probably you are too?....keep your chin up and ride it out,.....Christmas will be over soon enough and new years is right around the corner.......just ride the wave kiddo...just ride the wave........it's all you can do........I wish I could offer you more advice....this is a relly rough time of the year for some folks....say a prayer....I will too..it's all I can do on this end of the web.
