Question: Does clonazepam work the same as alprazolam?
The Doctor prescribed these pills to me for my panic attacks.

Yes. They are both in the benzodiazepine class of drugs- they work by reducing excessive electrical activity in the brain.
Both are used for anxiety. I'm not sure HOW they work, but understand that each works better/worse than the other depending on yh individual.
The Dr. Or pharmacist can probably answer your Q's better than we can, but one of those should work for you.
