Can I dissolve a pill in water and drink it? it said "dissolve by mouth&quo!


Question: Can I dissolve a pill in water and drink it? it said "dissolve by mouth" though so I dnt know..?
I tried last night and it made my tounge burn. But it worked! So I was wondering if I could just dissolve in water and drink it? Would it still be the same? Thanks guys

No, that is the way it is absorbed; if you drink it, it will go into your stomach and the acids will render it ineffective. If it is homeopathic medicine, you should put it under your tongue.



woo woo, Not the right way to take a pill or a tablet at all!

The reason is some pills, tablets are intended to be taken orally and exert their effect after disintegration in stomach or in the intestine depending on the targeted organ whether stomach or intestine or colon so now you are trying to dissolve the pill and drink it in a cup of water I am afraid to tell you now you may be spoiling the effect of it as many of this pills may not kick their action due hydrolysis by the acidic action of the gastric juice!

I don't want to fill you up with a lot of complicated detailed information but the bottom line is you can't!

You can put it on your tounge and then drink water....



I think it's not the same, since some pills only works that way , like the one for the heaet!
I guess so .....!
