What are some natural remedy's for stress related migraines?!

Question: What are some natural remedy's for stress related migraines?
I am looking for some natural remedy's to treat stress/anxiety related migraines. Its mainly for a man who has little free time so things like a yoga class would be out... but has anyone tried tea's or supplements or things of that nature that could be helpful? He's trying to manage them without the use of medication but they are severe enough he is losing vision and vomiting. Been to a Dr. but he just says they are stress related.

Thanks!

A liquid b complex supplement would be a good place to start imho... stress destroys your precious water soluble b complex of vitamins ..... and a deficiency of b6 (pyridoxine) or b12(cobalamin) will lead to insufficient iron being assimilated thus leading to iron deficiency migraines .... a deficiency in b12 will also lead to unecessarily high stress levels, fatigue and exhaustion, chest pains and heart palpitations... what are his other symptoms?? vitamin B3 in particular will alleviate spectactular headaches..... get him to eat some fresh chicken.. rich in b3 (niacin).

advise him to drink more water as dehydration will cause wicked headaches... and cut right back on alcohol, caffeine and sodas ... which will all dehydrate you terribly.

and get him to better manage his stress levels too.

meditation is fabulous for relaxation.

a simple way to meditate is to lay down and close your eyes
imagine there are two of you
one sitting above you on a puffy white cloud
watching you down below with all your stressy tired thoughts
just sit on that cloud and watch you
don't judge you or try to analyse you
just sit there and observe the stress you are subjecting you to.
it's like shining a light in the dark
darkness cannot exist where there is light
it's simply taking control of your mind
don't let your mind run your life
you are the boss
you are in control
step back in your mind's eye and just observe
for the thoughts you are having are just that... thoughts and words
and words can be changed.
and thoughts are only ideas and notions which have been learned via media, televsion, family friends etc.
doing this for 10 or 15 minutes will give you a slice of peace you'll want more of
observe your thoughts and be free.

bless

The herb valerian helps some, and also the herb feverfew.
Vitamin B complex can help with stress, and also the minerals calcium and magnesium. Calcium needs vitamin D for its absorption and vitamin D needs a meal containing fat for its absorption....thus is best taken after a meal. Vitamin B complex can be taken anytime but it might be best to take that in the morning as it could give a energy burst.

I was talking to someone whose friend's personal cure for migraines is donating blood once in while. Blood letting or donating blood is apparently a well known middle eastern treatment for migraines. It could be worthwhile trying. No harm in trying as long as there are no contraindications to being a blood donor.

If he is on any medication he will need to talk to his GP or pharmacist first before taking valerian or feverfew.

Best wishes.

Drink the mixture of 200 ml spinach juice + 300 ml carrot juice daily on an empty stomach

Include plenty of garlic while preparing your food.

In the morning on an empty stomach, sit cross legged on a woollen mat,in an open place where there is adequate greenery.Do deep breathing(abdominal breathing) so that you get destressed.Do it 20 times in the starting

Some migraines are food-related. Does he have allergies to anything? Allergies could be to a food, a smell, something artificial in his environment, perhaps. Mold also can trigger migraines.

Overview: Migraines, like many other ‘symptoms’ originate from a number of root causes depending on the individual. Categories include dietary habits, dehydration, emotional or mental stress, physical stress, hormone changes (menstrual, etc.), and allergies. An important step is determining from experience what triggers migraines. By finding the triggers, one can anticipate them and use the habits of diet and lifestyle coupled with the essential oils to mitigate them. The most common oils are pain blends and lavender, and peppermint. Ginger and marjoram also show positive action for some.

Application: Direct topical application of oils to affected areas of the head or neck will give the greatest benefit. Inhalation from a diffuser, cup and inhale or a tissue cup while relaxing or a few drops of the selected oils on a moist cool towel across the forehead will also allow the oils to help alleviate the migraine. Massage while suffering from a migraine usually is not a pleasant option. Applying the oil or blend as a foot massage may be tolerable. Because root cause and personal reactions are so varied it will take personal experience to find the optimum solution for each individual.

Other oils for migraines include: basil, eucalyptus, frankincense, ginger, rosemary, and wintergreen.

When using essential oils, it's important to make sure they are pure. I highly recommend doTerra's oils. They are 100% certified pure therapeutic grade oils.

As a TCM doctor with almost 10 years’ working experience, I strongly suggest you attach importance to your headache. Otherwise, it may cause many serious sequels and it will be hard for you to completely recover from the disease.
Cerebral concussion is a kind of transient functional disturbance seen in brain, due to the head injury caused by the hit of violence. If there remains a trail of symptoms such as headache, dizziness, insomnia, degraded memory, impaired concentration, etc. positive check cannot be seen during the neurologic check, thus we regard it as postconcussion syndrome. This disease is a category of diseases such as "headache", "vertigo" and so on in TCM. According to the theory of TCM, the pathogenesis is blood stasis in the eneephalic collateral, which is an aggravation of qi-stagnancy and blood stasis caused by trauma. Promoting qi to activate blood and dredge the meridians to stop pain are the two main acupuncture and moxibustion therapies.
Here I would like to introduce you some TCM therapies which may help you get rid of the headache.
1. Weizhong (BL40)After the routine point-skin sterilization, prick triangle-edged needle quickly into BL40 in popliteal fossa with 0.5-1 cm, in order to bleed it 2-3 ml. Cupping for 10-20 minutes when the bleeding get arrested. Treat it every 3 days.
2. Hegu (LI4)Insert 1 cun filiform needle vertically by 0.5-0.8 cun after the routine point-skin sterilization, and then apply the powerful provocative maneuver of rotating and lifting-inserting to make the acu-esthesia ascend shoulder and head. Retain the needle for 30 minutes, and manipulate it once every 10 minutes. One treatment should be given every day and 10 times make up a course of treatment.
3. The acupuncture therapy is effective to postconcussion syndrome. The acupuncturist should take advantages of the initial stage of this disease. If the therapy is given during the attack, it is required that acu-esthesia be marked, manipulating needle be intermittent. Retaining needle be prolonged and working in with electro-acupuncture, triangle-edged needle, etc.
